San Francisco Bay Ferry Holiday Schedule


On Juneteenth on Sunday, June 19, 2022, San Francisco Bay Ferry will run its normal weekend schedule on all routes.

On the observed federal holiday for Juneteenth on Monday, June 20, 2022, will run its normal weekday schedule on all routes.

There are no schedule changes due to the Juneteenth holiday.

Independence Day 2022

On this Independence Day on Monday, July 4, 2022, San Francisco Bay Ferry will run on weekend schedules and offer two special post-firework trips between San Francisco and the East Bay.

VALLEJO: We will offer a post-fireworks trip from Pier 41 in San Francisco to Vallejo. This trip will depart Pier 41 at 11:00 PM. It will not stop in Downtown San Francisco. Normal ticket and Clipper fares will apply. Also, the 8:50 PM San Francisco departure will not continue to Mare Island; it will only drop off passengers at Vallejo. 

OAKLAND & ALAMEDA: A special post-fireworks trip to Oakland & Alameda will depart Pier 41 in San Francisco at 10:45 PM and Downtown San Francisco (Gate G) at 11:00 PM. Normal ticket and Clipper fares will apply. The scheduled arrival in Main Street Alameda is 11:30 PM and the scheduled arrival in Oakland is 11:45 PM.

RICHMOND: Weekend schedules in effect; no special post-fireworks trip.

ALAMEDA SEAPLANE & HARBOR BAY: No service; please use the Oakland & Alameda route from Main Street Alameda.


PIER 41 SHORT HOP: Normal weekend schedules in effect. 

San Francisco Bay Ferry offers special schedules on several holidays to better meet the needs of riders.

There is no ferry service on the following dates so that our captains, crew members, engineers and operations staff can enjoy holidays with their families and friends:

  • New Years' Day (January 1)
  • Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday of November)
  • Christmas Day (December 25)

The holidays in which special schedules may be in effect include:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day (third Monday in January)
  • Presidents' Day (third Monday in February)
  • Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
  • Independence Day (July 4)
  • Labor Day (first Monday in September)
  • Veterans Day (November 11)
  • Thanksgiving Weekend (the three days after Thanksgiving)

We typically also offer special schedules on the Saturday and Sunday of San Francisco Fleet Week in the first week of October.
